Do you have the ambition to bring your organisation’s innovation up to speed, digitally and sustainably? The way to apply digital technology to successfully future-proof your organisation is far from obvious.

In Brussels, 99.7 percent of companies are SMEs and there is a high concentration of digital and service-oriented companies. Digital technology is the main driver of innovation. Despite this, these companies perform slightly below the European average in their use of artificial intelligence (AI) and take third place in the use of ICT for environmental sustainability.
It is for these reasons that SustAIn.brussels was set up.

Goal

SustAIn.brussels serves as a single point of access to sustainable and digital innovation in Brussels, with a focus on AI and other emerging technologies. We are a European Digital Innovation Hub, established in Brussels with the support of the European Commission, Innoviris and hub.brussels. The coordination is carried out by Sirris, Agoria, BeCentral, VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles).

Strategy

We use an intake interview to find out what your ambitions are and where your company stands in its digital journey. Afterwards, coaches will help you further, or connect you with a third party that has the expertise you need to achieve the desired solution. We help you get started with, among other things, matchmaking with suppliers, reducing risks, training, proof-of-concepts, collective R&D, etc.

We will help you with the following questions:

How do you choose and test technological solutions?
What skills do you need to acquire?
What kind of investments are needed, and where can you find them?
How do you set up local and international partnerships with public and private players?
How do you do all this sustainably and in a way that benefits society and the environment?
SustAIn.brussels gives you access to its extensive expertise and partner network.

SustAIn.brussels uses frameworks such as Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to facilitate the responsible adoption of AI, data and robotics. The hub promotes human-centric, robust and secure digital solutions in such a way that they benefit society as a whole.
