Oerlikon Balzers Coating celebrates its 30th anniversary with a four-day programme, filled with expert lectures and presentations. Sirris too will make a contribution on the added value of coatings for a sustainable industry.
Oerlikon Balzers is a part of the OC Oerlikon group and a supplier of PVD coatings. The coatings produced by this company aim to improve the performance and service life of parts and components. Oerlikon Balzers operates over 100 coating centres in more than 35 countries, and employs more than 5,100 people.
The company offers services on PVD and PACVD-based coating solutions and heat treatment solutions, next to coating equipment. Its products and services are used in various applications in cutting, metal forming, plastics processing, die casting, automotive, ... In the Benelux it has three service centres, with its headquarters located in Sint-Truiden.
For its 30th anniversary Oerlikon Balzers Coatings is organising four inspirational segment days, each with a different theme and different speakers:
- Cutting: new evolutions in difficult to cut material (27/9)
- Plastic forming: wear behaviour in glass fibre injection moulds (28/9)
- Metal forming: reducing risk of crack formation during the drawing process (29/9)
- General engineering: the benefits of PVD coating for a sustainable industry (30/9)
Sirris will be among the speakers at the event on 30 September, with a presentation focused on the added value of coatings in a circular and sustainable economy.
