WILLOW unveils initial results for smarter turbine monitoring systems

The WILLOW project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme, has reached a key milestone with promising initial results for smarter turbine monitoring systems. During the steering committee meeting at Sirris in Ghent, partners showcased innovations in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and advanced drone-based inspections, providing a first glimpse into tools that aim to extend the lifetime and efficiency of offshore wind farms. Attendees also toured the Sirris labs, where cutting-edge solutions are being developed to reduce inspection costs and improve turbine health assessments.
