Event
Closing event - ‘Medical Diagnostics Goes Micro and Smart’ microfluidics project
After two years, the COOCK project 'Medical diagnostics goes micro and smart', focusing on micromanufacturing and smart automation technologies for the development of point-of-care diagnostic and testing devices, is drawing to a close. During this final event we present the project results to all companies interested in and active with microfluidics.
The project closing will be turned into a truly (inter)active happening for the entire lab-on-a-chip value chain. The event will be held in our specialised labs and will be open to all companies. It will give an insight into the results of the project and the possibilities of micromanufacturing technologies for microfluidics Sirris has to offer, from prototyping to testing pre-series before going into production.
What we have in store for you
- An overview of the development trajectory of a lab-on-a-chip device
- A demonstration of the lab-on-chip system developed during the project.
- A demonstration tour in the micromanufacturing lab
- Presentations on specific topics, such as design for moulding of microfluidic parts, thermal verification and flow verification
- Pitch sessions from the Belgian lab-on-a-chip service and product suppliers

Target audience
The event will focus on the microfluidic lab-on-a-chip community in Belgium:
- start-ups and companies that want to explore microfluidic lab-on-a-chip technology or already have ideas to use it in a new application,
- Belgian providers - commercial and academic - contributing to the design or realisation of lab-on-a-chip systems,
- Belgian companies already marketing microfluidic applications.
Spread the news in your network of suppliers and customers, so we can realise a true Belgian microfluidic community, together!
