Building an IoT solution around your product

Expanding your physical product with IoT will change the way you develop your products. This workshop brings manufacturing companies up to speed on the technological development steps of an IoT-enabled product and the new technologies and collaborations that will be involved.

Manufacturing companies aiming for an IoT-enabled product will need the know how to manage the development of products with digital technology inside (sensing, embedded processing, connectivity) and around the product (cloud, data analytics, apps). In this workshop we will interactively go through the essential steps of such a development and the best practices to bear in mind.

The following topics will be addressed:

How to generate technological solution concepts (requirements, architecture, technology selection)
How to manage risks with proofs-of-concept (risk assessment, rapid prototyping)
How to set up a development plan (costs, make or buy decisions)
How to collaborate with development partners

The 3-hour session is followed by a networking drink at 16:00.
