Floating wall of wind turbines reduces cost of offshore energy

A pilot project intends to test a floating wall of wind turbines off the Norwegian coast. The electricity which can be generated would satisfy the power consumption of some 80,000 households, while taking up only a fraction of the space compared to other floating systems and has a lower LCOE (levelized cost of energy) than existing floating systems.
