From R&D to large scale production of microfluidic chips in Belgium

Did you know one tiny chip can house an entire lab? Microfluidic devices offer the possibility to manipulate very small quantities of liquids, reducing costs, number of samples, reagents and waste, while offering greater accuracy, higher speed and more robustness. Sirris and Plast4Life provide an overview of the resources available to Belgium, from R&D to large scale production.

The manipulation of very small quantities of liquids in dedicated microfluidic devices (lab-on-a-chip) drastically reduces operating costs, the quantities of samples or reagents required and the waste generated, while offering greater accuracy, higher speed and more robustness. The technology is applicable to sectors as diverse as chemistry, pharmaceuticals, agri-food, life sciences, medical diagnostics, …

Sirris is organising a series of short webinars to let you discover micromanufacturing technologies and their opportunities. This webinar will dig into microfluidics, a fast-growing sector, with double-digit global growth predicted for the next years. During this express webinar, an overview of the resources available to Belgian and neighbouring players will be given by Sirris and Plast4Life, respectively active in R&D and large-scale production of custom microfluidic devices. The complete development and production chain will be illustrated with a concrete example.

You will get all the information you need in one hour's time: a 45-minute presentation, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session.
