AI for food industry: from data to AI applications
Digitisation is necessary if food companies are to remain competitive, but traditional technologies are reaching their limits in terms of the efficiency, quality, etc., that they can realistically add to manufacturing. In addition, many companies in the food industry now have a large amount of data available, but it is hard to exploit this effectively in data-driven applications.
During the masterclass, we (Sirris, Imec and Flanders' FOOD) will guide you step-by-step in setting up your first AI applications from your available data. By using examples of AI applications, reference architectures for data, inspiring business cases from industry and best practices, we ensure that you can take your company’s first steps towards AI. In addition, we provide a 1.5-hour meeting for each participant with experts from Sirris and Imec, to guide you in setting up your own AI cases.
The masterclass consists of a half-day interactive group session and an individual follow-up session:
- The interactive group session takes place on location. It is preceded by a sandwich lunch and ends with a short networking drink.
- The individual follow-up session will be planned with you afterward and will take place online (1.5 hours). We will discuss the specific steps you will need to get started within your own company.
