Wim Codenie

Wim began his carrier with Sirris in 2004, where he contributed to the creation of the software programme: first as an advisor, later as a programme coordinator. Today he is business unit manager of ICT & Mechatronics at Sirris.

Wim has a strong ICT background and advises companies about improving their software product development capabilities. His specific interests include product variability, agile software development and innovation management in software development. He has set up several (international) research initiatives on these topics and is co-author of a book on software innovation.

Wim graduated with a Master in Information Technology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), where he was also researcher for the Software Languages Lab. In 1995, he made the switch away from research to the software industry, where he worked at OO Partners, a spinoff company of the VUB. Later he was active as a development manager for Mediagenix and as consultant for Real Software.
