Stijn Gielis

Stijn supports and coaches companies to manage complexity by breaking it down into manageable building blocks, and by identifying and assessing the required expertise for each. He helps companies to ensure successful co-creation between all involved parties, guaranteeing matching interfaces between the different blocks, while at any moment safeguarding the company’s requirements and interests.

Stijn combines extensive technical knowledge with a down-to-earth approach to innovation. He guides companies in translating their (business) ideas into a feasible system design, up to industrialization.

Stijn joined Sirris in 2015. He obtained a Master’s in Electrical Engineering at KU Leuven. After graduating he worked for several Belgian hi-tech companies. He has a background that ranges from chip design, over embedded software and hardware architectures to larger IoT systems and connectivity solutions. Stijn is thoroughly experienced in architecting systems in which software, sensing and connectivity come together.
