Guy Claus

Guy has been working for Sirris since 1996, helping companies with metal selection and heat treatment. He is also responsible for the entire quality assurance of the test lab, which has been accredited since 2003. He mainly works on failure analysis (fractures, corrosion and wear) on metal components.

Over the last few years he was closely involved in innovative projects concerning laser hardening, cleaning and coating of steel and finally deep cooling of tool steel.

Guy is a metallurgical engineer who worked as a researcher at UGent and was previously employed in the quality department of a Flemish company producing continuous roll forming steel profiles.
