Technological and business guidance on blockchain for the manufacturing industry

Looking beyond its hype in the financial world, blockchain is starting to prove its potential in other domains. Starting 29 April, Sirris is organising a series of masterclasses and individual coaching sessions on blockchain for manufacturing, from insight to plan.

Within the manufacturing industry, the technology of blockchain is used for instance to track the provenance of components in complex value chains from cradle to grave.

In two afternoon sessions, Sirris experts will provide insights into both the blockchain technology and business aspects. These collective sessions are optionally followed by two individual workshops, providing participants the opportunity to discuss their specific innovation project and get detailed feedback and recommendations from senior Sirris experts. The final result is a plan towards the adoption of this promising technology in your company.

In the afternoon sessions, Sirris experts will provide insights into the state of affairs regarding this subject, answering questions such as:

  • What are the industrial opportunities made possible by blockchain?
  • What are typical industrial examples of blockchain-enabled products and services?
  • Which are the underlying business models?
  • What investment is needed to realise blockchain projects?
  • What is a typical architecture of an application using blockchain?
  • What are the associated (technological and legal) risks and challenges?

The two collective sessions, one on business cases in industry and one on technology and architecture, are followed by two individual (per-company) workshops, providing participants the opportunity to discuss their specific innovation project and get detailed feedback and recommendations from two senior Sirris experts.
