When striving for an Industry 4.0 production system, the first requirement is to connect the production machines within a network. In a machining production environment with a wide variety of machines - modern, obsolete, designed for batch processes, manual, etc. - this presents a major challenge.

Within the Flemish-Dutch partnership FOKUS we are organising two cluster meetings for sharing experiences.

Cluster meetings

The programme runs in two sessions, to take place in Diepenbeek on 19 and 26 April (from 15.00 to 18.00 hrs.):

Session 1

  • 4.0 Made Real, Sirris
  • Ultimate Factory, KU Leuven
  • Setting up a connected production environment, ESMA
  • Visit to the Sirris 4.0 pilot line
  • Exchange of experiences

Session 2

  • Explanation: Building blocks of a connected production environment - network, data structures and machine connections, Sirris
  • Practical: Connecting yourself with the mobile 4.0 environment
  • Exchange of experiences

Participation in these meetings is free of charge, but registration is mandatory so that we can organise the sessions in complete safety. Be quick, though, because the number of participants is limited! You can register here.
