Everyone gains from the ability to deliver sustainable quality to the steel processing industry. Nevertheless, new steel techniques and steel compositions are causing a lot of headaches for many coaters and galvanizers. That is why VOM, ZINKINFO and Sirris want to start a joint investigation into the possible causes and consequences of this.

The world is evolving, sometimes faster than science. And the steel construction market is no exception. Companies are increasingly detecting adhesion problems or corrosion on the cut surfaces of steel products to be coated or galvanized. Does the cause lie with the new, more efficient, cutting techniques? Or are raw material shortages and the global steel crisis leading to changed steel compositions?

To ensure that galvanizers and coaters can continue to deliver sustainable quality to the steel processing industry, VOM, ZINKINFO and Sirris want to join forces and start a joint investigation into the possible causes and consequences.
