European Pressure Equipment Research Council goes virtual

The scope of the European Pressure Equipment Research Council (EPERC) is to promote discussions among all the interested parties on subjects for which the theoretical approach is not yet ready for the definition of a European standard, asking for the support of the European Commission in case research activities are deemed necessary to arrive at a reasonable solution.

In the past, many research programmes sponsored by the European Commission have been promoted by European Pressure Equipment Research Council (EPERC): associated members can find detailed results of this work in the restricted area of the website. A wide summary of all EPERC activities, as well as many basic technical documents, are also publicly available.

After the last meetings held in Milan on January 2020, several Task Groups (TGs) have prepared a detailed programme of activity. Due to the sanitary situation, all the future TG meetings will be shifted to virtual meetings. Switching to virtual meetings will certainly be an advantage from an economical point of view, since in this way experts willing to participate have no additional costs other than the yearly association fee to EPERC.
