Sirris gives a lecture about 3D printing as a production technology at Prototyping 2015

Under one roof on 28 and 29 October the 'Prototyping' trade show will transform a series of ideas into a product concept. The event is aimed at people involved in product development, prototyping and low volume production. Sirris will be making a presentation about 3D printing as a mature production technology.

Prototyping 2015 wants to be a liaison platform for everybody involved in prototyping, including both the creative and manufacturing sectors. It is a user-oriented trade show aimed at people involved in product development, prototyping and low volume production. Exhibitors from across the entire spectrum of the value chain will be present at the trade show, from the initial ideas stage, right through to low volume production.

There is also a seminar programme that includes inspiring case studies given by companies and organisations where they talk about the design process for specific models or products, and also company sales pitches in which the exhibitors introduce you to their technologies. Simon Vermeir, design engineer at Sirris will make a presentation titled 'Prototyping? 3D printing is also a mature production technology!' An explanation of how good design leads to successful applications will be made using case studies.

Prototyping 2015 takes place on 28 and 29 October at Kortrijk Xpo. No entry charge, but please register beforehand. The programme, practical information and registration is on the website.
