Finishing parts made by additive manufacturing: new equipment

Sirris has mechanical and chemical surface finishing equipment for the post-treatment of AM made parts. 

To complete its additive manufacturing equipment, Sirris recently acquired a small installation to carry out Isotropic Surface Finishing (ISF) according to a process developed by REM Surface Engineering.  

This technology is comprised of two vibrating bowls each putting into movement an abrasive medium combined with an active liquid chemical component intended to accelerate the modification of the surface state by the abrasive.  

Initially, the equipment will be dedicated to the post-treatment of titanium parts (Ti-6Al-4V) produced by additive manufacturing.
