Belgian industry well represented at Hannover Messe

Hannover Messe 2019, which will take place from 1 to 5 April, aims to stimulate the digital transformation of the production and energy industry and will be entirely dedicated to 'Integrated Industry - Industrial Intelligence'. The fair wants to underline the growing importance of artificial intelligence and ‘machine learning’ in the area of energy and production processes.

People, machines and data create a network via common platforms where knowledge can be shared and multiplied. The role of people is essential for tomorrow's production. Industrial intelligence means first and foremost the expansion of knowledge management and the training of the knowledge carriers.

Hannover Messe is the perfect platform to network and build innovations thanks to the six theme fairs that have been brought together under one roof. During the five days of the exhibition, some 6,500 exhibitors will present a full range of technical innovations - from automation to supplier solutions.

Six theme fairs

  1. Integrated Automation, Motion & Drives (IAMD) is the hotspot for Industry 4.0. Integrated Automation, Motion & Drives is the new trade fair that covers everything to do with industrial automation, industrial IT, power transmission, and fluid power technology - from mechanical engineering and robotics to process automation.

  2. Digital Factory, home of the digital pioneers. Here, you will discover IT solutions that enable the exchange of data between development, production, and distribution.

  3. Integrated Energy solutions for the new era of energy. Listen and discover how branch specialists, suppliers and policymakers see the future of energy transition, charging infrastructure and energy saving for industries.

  4. Industrial Supply: suppliers are a key driver of industrial digitisation. At Industrial Supply international players present their solutions for materials, processes and key topics such as lightweight construction.

  5. Research & Technology, where the future comes alive. Experts in science and economics provide an insight into what the industry could look like in the future - and which solutions are about to hit the market.

  6. Compressed Air and Vacuum Technology (ComVac) about process automation, pneumatic systems, eco-friendly exhaust-air cleaning systems ... because without compressed-air and vacuum systems no energy-efficient, sustainable production is possible.

Belgium is strongly represented during this edition. About 50 Belgian companies present their newest products, as well as FIT and Flanders Make can be visited, each at their group stand. Hannover Messe does not only provide product presentations, but also an extensive supporting programme such as Industrial Pioneers Summit, WoMenPower 2019, young tech enterprises, ...

It is also possible to visit the Sirris' stand, presenting the 'Wallonium', and other research centres on the AWEX stand in Hall 2 (Research & Technology). Wallonium is a technological artwork highlighting Walloon expertise and know-how in various fields related to Industry 4.0.
